A Message from the OCJBA:

The Orange County Jewish Bar Association allies itself with those who seek justice for all people, especially those who have historically been targeted as “other.” We acknowledge the pain and devastation felt within our community, and we stand in solidarity with those who are underrepresented.

A core value of the OCJBA and Judaism is “Tzedek, Tzedek, Tirdoff” (Deuteronomy). “Justice, Justice, Shall you pursue!”

Right now, in the pursuit of justice, rather than speak, we are listening.

We listen to the words of Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

We listen to Rabbi Heschel, who marched alongside Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., that “racism is man's gravest threat to man - the maximum of hatred for a minimum of reason” and that “… in a free society, some are guilty, but all are responsible.”

We listen to our OCBA Affiliate Bar partner, the Thurgood Marshall Bar Association. Their June 2, 2020 statement can be found here.

Please join the OCJBA in the pursuit of justice, in the support of our community.
