Uri, a young officer, together with two soldiers under his
command, are manning a checkpoint in the territories.
Two women from the “Watch” organization try to interfere
with their work. Uri is confused as he receives an order to
close the checkpoint because of a bomb threat amidst the
women’s screaming. An unpredictable outcome ensues….
A Jerusalem Tale – 14 min.
Lazer and Baila Hirsch, an older orthodox couple who have
immigrated to Israel from America, struggle with financial
hardship and general misfortune. Lazer, a Bretzlav Hassid,
finds that his capacity for simcha (joy) is put to the test. The
couple prays for a miracle, but miracles come in unexpected
guises…
The Little Dictator – 26 minutes
Prof. Yossi Kleinmann is a non-charismatic history professor
lecturing on political leaders in totalitarian regimes. Neither
his students nor his domineering wife show him any respect.
At a Sabbath weekend celebrating the 90th birthday of his
wife’s grandmother, a Holocaust survivor, Yossi suddenly
finds himself in a situation which forces him to confront his
family and himself.
